Participants show up dedicated to learning together, and from each other with different experiences. Of course, we have credentialed experts leading the training, but that’s not enough. We practice a blend of traditional instruction, collaborative learning, practice sessions, mentoring hours, and supervisory Q&A sessions to create a “cohort” experience that lasts beyond the classroom for MAGNUS impact.  I’m sure you’ve heard the adage, “If you want to go fast, go alone… but if you want to go far, go together.”

I’m always inspired and blown away by the depth of personal growth that our colleagues experience in these “cohort” environments.  Because here at NCSC we also understand the profound impact that learning in a supportive community can have on your development as a coach and as a person. That’s why every attendee in our program is placed in a cohort: a close-knit group who embark on this truly transformative journey together.

Upon your enrollment confirmation, and throughout the program, you’ll be immersed in an environment filled with like-minded people. Professionals who are passionate about serving others while applying coaching as a vital toolkit in their career, with enthusiasm and an infectious thirst for what’s next.

Every MAGNUS coaching course cohort is unique. You meet professionals, with an array of experience across public safety but most importantly, they all have a first responder mindset.

Here are a few reasons why better learning happens in a group setting, for coach training:

Sharing diverse perspectives: In a group setting, we encourage an opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds, organizational cultures, and vast life experiences. This enriches our discussions, helps us challenge assumptions, and broadens our understanding of the application of coaching.

Holding each other accountable and cheering each other on: You’re never alone on your coaching journey. The cohort keeps you accountable while celebrating successes and offering support beyond the classroom.

Collaborating now and in the future: Connection enables growth. Working closely with your cohort provides an exchange of ideas, best practices, and lessons learned during both victories and challenges. A collaborative environment breeds creativity and innovation, helping you develop coaching techniques and the curiosity to go deeper.

Together for the long haul: Group learning facilitates relationships, and attendees often form lifelong professional bonds with their cohort members. These connections extend beyond the training program to enrich personal and professional lives for years.
